Ms. Jacqueline Tarango (email:  is an Empowering Latinas Ambassador with an analytical mind of a strategist. She is a growing, fast driven, young Latina, and Technical Leader. She is committed to take a stand and make a difference to the world. She has been 100% dedicated to helping smart, ambitious, multi-talented, young, and underrepresented women in STEM. She is a graduating Biology student and has specialized in Spanish at the University of Houston-Downtown.

She has plans on pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Biomedical Engineering & to double major in Physical Therapy. She has glowing personality with talents, which made her win the University of Houston-Downtown 1st Homecoming Monarch. Also, she is skilled in making networks and participated in many technical-academic events and leadership programs to increase high morale and student retention in STEM.

She participated in 2014 and 2016 HENAAC STEM career conference where she collaborated with a team in various competitions to showcase the ability to present ideas and knowledge of STEM. Her grit and determination allowed her to receive the 2016 HENAAC Scholarship.

She is a highly motivated young speaker with talents in photography, sports, public speaking, volunteering for good causes on her own spare time, creative social media and writing. She is a lifelong lover of international travel and recently traveled to Spain to study abroad. Also, she has a high proficiency in Spanish. She has a dream to be a global role model to the younger generation.
